How do I create a direct link to a learning resource?

The Link Builder Wizard can be used to create direct links to learning resources. Launching an eLearning course or navigating to the course display page and copying the link will not work.  To correctly create direct links to eLearning courses or course display pages use the following steps.

Step 1:  From the myLearning Administrator console, access the Tools tab. 

Step 2:  Select “Link Builder Wizard”.

The Link Builder Wizard will open.  Several options will appear. The first 2 options can be used to create direct links to course content.  

Step 3: Select the appropriate action based on your need.

• To launch an online course – This will allow you to create a link that will launch an online learning resource

• To open a course display page – This will allow you to create a link that will navigate learners to the course display page for a learning resource

Step 4: After choosing the appropriate action, click the Next Button. 

Step 5: Type the title of the learning resource you would like to create the link for. Please note, the Link Builder Wizard will only display active learning resources.

Step 6: Once you find the title of the learning resource, click it to populate the search field.

Step 7: After the search field is populated with the learning resource title, click Next.

The Link Builder Wizard will provide several link options.  

Step 8: Copy the direct link from the link field or click the “Copy Link to Clipboard” button to retrieve the link.

Step 9:  Click Finish to end the process for the current learning resource.

Step 10: Select your next action.  Click “Ok” to create a link for another learning resource or click “Cancel” to end the process and close the link builder wizard.
