The Copy function allows System Administrators to quickly set up a learning resource based on the configuration of an existing resource. When utilizing the Copy function, a new learning resource can be copied from an existing placeholder. Please note that the content or the enrollments from the existing learning resource are not copied over or impacted.

Create the copy | |
Step 1.1 Navigate to the Maintaining Learning Resources page of the Administrator Console. | In the Administrator Console, select Resources -> Maintain Learning Resources.

Step 1.2 and 1.3 Use the Search features to find the existing resource to copy. Once you enter the title click the Search button. | Type the course name in the Search menu. Select Search. Highlight the resource name.

Step 1.4 After the system finds the learning resource in the search research, select the title of the resource.

Step 1.5 Select Copy.
| Select Copy from the toolbar.

Modify the copied resource | |
Step 1.6 Copy the original resource ID and paste it into the Course # Reference# field. |

Step 1.7 Adjust the title field accordingly.

Step 1.8 Select Save. From there make all necessary adjustments to the learning resources that are specific to the resource type and content associated with the course. | Select Active from the Resource Status drop down menu. The default status is Inactive.

NOTES
| The copy process does not copy the audience, source files, or child resources from a certificate. Review the respective solutions articles for guidance regarding the set up process for the various resource types. |
